If you have any questions or comments about the site, we would love to hear from you.
We have created Free Postcode Maps as an online, easy to use Postcode geography reference site using Open Street Maps and XYZ Postcode boundary data. We hope to develop the site to build useful mapping tools for businesses and personal users. If you have any requests, just let us know via the contact form.
You can slide the map using your mouse (or finger on mobile devices) and zoom in and out using the + and – buttons in the top left of the map window. You can also double click on the map to zoom in. You can also click Menu to the right and search for a specific town or Postcode or select from a list of Towns, Counties or Postcode Areas.
The website is free to use because it is funded by advertising and the sale of Postcode Wall maps via the “Get A High Quality Wall Map” button.
The Postcode Boundaries are sourced from XYZ Maps. Their Xtreme Accuracy boundaries are updated and maintained using the latest air photography to interpolate postcode boundaries around postcode point locations and address ranges from Royal Mail and Ordnance Survey Open Data.
he Postcode boundaries are digitised by hand using the latest air photography to achieve XYZ Maps Xtreme Accuracy standard. This means that the boundaries follow real ground features such as walls, hedges, rivers, roads and railways. The boundaries are as accurate as possible based on interpolation of postcode point locations from Royal Mail and Ordnance Survey Open Data, but if you see any discrepancies let us know and we will investigate.
Printing or copying the maps from our site is prohibited by copyright but you can click the “Get A High Quality Wall Map” button to create a high quality wall map using our online wall map system. You can also browse our maps on our Map-Logic site at www.map-logic.co.uk.
Please let us know! We are continually developing this site and want to add features that everyone wants. Please send your suggestions and requests via our contact form.
